Saudis to Assist in Evacuation of Indian Nationals from Yemen

Indian nationals flee the chaos of the emerging civil war in Yemen

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has requested that Saudi King Salman assist India in evacuating Indian nationals from Yemen. Two Indian merchant vessels and two warships left for Yemen, which is in the throes of a Houthi rebel uprising. The ships are to ferry stranded Indian expatriates back home; however, the Yemeni port of Aden is currently under rebel control.

The king assured Prime Minister Modi that India and Saudi Arabia enjoy a close relationship and guaranteed the prime minister of his full attention to the protection of Indians in Yemen, promising to assist in their early and safe evacuation. Saudi coalition airstrikes, part of Operation Decisive Storm, are targeting Shi’ite rebels fighting to overthrow the Yemeni government.

New plans center on evacuating Indian nationals from the Yemeni port of al-Hudaydah to Djibouti, where they will board military transports for their journey home.

Chinese-Manufactured Weapons Fueling Terrorist Activity in Assam

National Democratic Front of Bodoland terrorists
Indian National Investigation Agency sources report that interrogation of National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) terrorists has exposed that Chinese-manufactured weapons are being funneled to Manipur through the China-Burma-India border.

Kachin rebels are smuggling the arms shipments from the China border to southern Burma, where they transfer the weapons to Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagaland terrorist cadres. The latter organization then delivers the weapons to NDFB units in Manipur, from where the weapons are taken to Assam’s Bodoland area—NDFB’s area of operation.

Indian officials have arrested 46 NDFB cadres since the terrorists’ December 2014 massacre of tribals in Assam.
